Professional Development
Trinity believes strongly that a faculty committed to continuous professional development and reflective practice is essential.
Lifelong learners model this quality to their students daily. To ensure that faculty members remain on the leading edge of teaching, there is a strong and varied program for professional growth and development. The School is committed to securing the funds necessary to support the faculty's ongoing growth.
Professional growth opportunities are available in the following ways:
Local, Regional, & National Conferences
Trinity has a long history of sending teachers to several conferences in all of the subject areas. Teachers are supported and encouraged to present at these conferences. Examples include conferences run by The Journey School, IDA, AAHPERD, ACTFL, NCTE, NCTM and GISA.
Faculty Forum
The Trinity faculty is comprised of many experts in the field of education. Faculty Forum consists of teachers teaching their colleagues in a variety of areas including reading, technology, writing, assessment, digital photography, international cuisine, art, and children's literature.
Teacher Opportunity Grant
Each year, a minimum of two teachers receive Trinity School’s Teacher Opportunity Grant. These grants are awarded annually to faculty members to pursue an innovative program of self-designed study. The grant makes it possible for teachers to advance professionally through travel, participation in seminars, classes, and workshops, or consultation with experts in the field of education.
