Special Interest Camps > WEEK ONE

WEEK ONE: JUNE 4-8, 2018

Special Interest Camps are for rising Pre-K students through Sixth Graders. The camps will be held June 4-29, Mondays through Fridays, from 9 AM to Noon. Each week is $295-$345. After-care until 2 PM is available for $100/week and includes lunch. For each week, click on “REGISTER FOR THIS CAMP” for more information and to register.     First - Sixth Grades

    Boys and girls climb aboard this creative experience to become a 21st century innovator! In this camp, you will translate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math concepts into Art creations. Using a variety of art techniques, we will make a flying maching like DaVinci, build a rocket ship, and create an aerial view drone map, and much more. Challenge your imagination and creativity and become an EXTREME artist while you play games, make friends, and have fun! No projects are repeated from previous classes or camps.

    Kindergarten - Fourth Grade

    Learn to prepare (and eat!) breakfast, lunch, and dinner foods as well as breads, casseroles, cookies, desserts, and much more. Children will learn basic cooking techniques, how to measure and follow a recipe, and how to use cooking equipment. They will also learn and practice basic etiquette skills, design a chef’s apron, and enjoy cooking–related literature. There will be a special surprise party on the last day of class. Please note that sugar will be used in recipes for this camp.

    Kindergarten - Second Grade

    Calling all LEGO masters! Join Ms. Samantha to build large LEGO sets of 300 pieces or more. Castles, spaceships, city buildings, and superheroes are among the many sets that will be assembled. Campers will also build from their imaginations using hundreds of bricks and specialized pieces. There will be fun and creative challenges every day designed to test the student's ingenuity and imagination.

    Kindergarten - Second Grades

    Do you enjoy math? Do you love learning about mathematical concepts? Do you have fun solving mathematical and logical puzzles? Students will learn and strengthen concepts such as addition, subtraction, decimals, multiplication, and division while gaining an understanding of algebraic concepts. Students will engage in fun activities to problem solve while working individually and in a group.

Super Scientists: Fizz, Pop, Bang...Kid Chemistry

    Put on your safety goggles and prepare to get messy! Trinity Teachers Thalia Scott (aka Ms. T) and April Patton are teaming up for this week of cool kid chemistry in the science lab. Create potions that bubble and fizz. Sink your fingers into oozing, color-changing slime. Make predictions as you mix mystery substances and try to make them explode. Experiment, explore, and discover...science is a BLAST!
