Information
Trinity welcomes children of diverse backgrounds and provides experiences that foster acceptance, mutual respect, trust, and cooperation among the students, their teachers, and their parents. The School does not discriminate based on race, color, or national and ethnic origin in the administration of our admission and educational policies, in the extension of financial aid, or other school-administered programs.
Admissions Committee decisions are based, in unranked priority, on the following factors: siblings (or children) of current or previous Trinity students; the maintenance of balance per class by age and sex, when possible; age as of September 1; prior school record, when applicable; observation and testing results; and the commitment of families to the entire Trinity program. Entry points in Trinity’s program include the Three-Year-Olds program, Pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten, but openings generally occur at all age levels.
Trinity is one of ten Atlanta schools that have joined the Joint Admissions Testing Program (JATP) to simplify and standardize Kindergarten (five-year-olds) through 5th grade testing for admission. JATP designated educational psychologists administer the testing for a standard fee and send the results to those schools indicated by the parents. Registration for JATP testing must occur by February 22nd or a late fee will apply.
Applicants for 6th grade take the Secondary School Admissions Test (SSAT). Please request additional information from Trinity’s Admissions Office if the brochure pertinent to your child’s age/grade level is not enclosed in your admissions packet.
