Placement

A Trinity education is held in high esteem by metro Atlanta’s finest secondary schools; in fact, applications from Trinity students are enthusiastically welcomed.

Led by the Placement Counselor and a team consisting of the ULD Coordinator, school psychologist, and Head of School, guidance is provided for all 6th grade students and their parents regarding their school choices and applications. In 2003, Trinity established the position of Placement Counselor and Curriculum Coordinator that expresses the School’s commitment to excellence in advising our 6th grade graduates about admission to Atlanta’s competitive private schools.

Placement Office’s Goal and Role

Trinity School’s program builds a foundation of excellence that promotes students’ independence, leadership, and academic confidence and competence in secondary schools.  The primary goal of the Placement Office is to assist sixth grade families in the admissions process.

The role of the placement office is:

  • to keep the needs of each student at the forefront
  • to discuss with families the social, emotional, and academic profile of each sixth grade student
  • to partner with families to identify schools that are the best match for each sixth grade student
  • to maintain open and positive communication with schools in the area
  • to assist families who are asked by the School to seek alternate placement prior to the sixth grade
  • to educate the school-wide community about the placement process
